Use option set templates

Templates let you publish product options quickly, starting from option sets crafted by Shopify experts and optimized for a great customer experience and conversion. You can also save your own option sets as templates and reuse them.

Open Templates in the left menu of the app.

OPTIS templates

The OPTIS templates tab shows ready-made option sets as cards. Each card shows the template name and how many options it has (for example, "5 options").

• Use Search templates to find a template by name.
• Use the Filter templates button to filter by Categories. Click Clear to remove the filter.
• Click a card to see the Template preview. The preview shows the options on a sample product.
• Click View demo to see a live demo of the template.
• Click Apply to start a new option set from the template. The editor opens with the template's options already added. Change whatever you need, choose the products, and click Save.

My templates

The My templates tab lists the templates you created, with the columns Template, Updated and Actions.

• Click Create template to build a new template in the editor.
• Use Edit, Delete and Apply on a template row.
• Tick several templates to use Duplicate templates or Delete templates.

Save an option set as a template

You can turn any option set into a template:

• On the Option sets page, click Save as template in the Actions column of the option set.

• Or, in the option set editor, open More actions and choose Save as template.

Enter a Template name and click Save as template. The template then appears in My templates.

Use templates while you edit an option set

You can also add ready-made options to an option set you are editing:

1. In 1. Add options, click Add option.

1. In the Add option window, choose the OPTIS templates or My templates tab (the New options tab lists the option types).

1. Search for a template, or use Filter by option type, then tick the templates you want and click Add options.

Note:

• The template is designed to help you create an option set quickly. Once a template has been added to an option set, you’ll need to update that option set directly when making changes.
• Templates are mainly useful for creating multiple option sets that use the same options. However, changes made to the template will not automatically sync with option sets that have already been created from it.
