Font Picker
A Font Picker lets customers choose a font style for their personalized text. Linked with a Text input option, the typed text updates live in the chosen font - a live preview that helps customers picture the result before adding to cart.
Plan: Font picker is available on the Advanced plan and above. On the Free plan you can still try it on one live product with a Premium option set. See Plans and feature availability.
When to use a Font Picker
- Personalized text - names, initials, or short engraved messages.
- Custom apparel and gifts - let customers preview their text in different fonts before buying.
How to add a Font Picker option
Step 1: Add the option
Open 1. Add options, click Add option, tick Font picker under Choice list on the New options tab, then click Add options.
Step 2: Name it and choose the fonts
Enter the Label on product (e.g., "Choose font"). Use Label on cart if the cart and order should show a different name.
Under Font picker settings:
- Font selection > All fonts lets customers choose from all available Google Fonts.
- Font selection > Selected fonts only lets you pick the fonts yourself in Font values (at least one font must be selected).
- Tick Enable search bar to let customers search a long list of fonts.
Note: Currently, the app does not support uploading custom fonts directly. However, we do offer a custom solution - simply send us the font link, and our team will help you set it up.
Display mode: choose Dropdown, Button (horizontal) or Button (vertical).
Step 3: Save and test
Click Save, then open the product page on your store to check that the Font picker works correctly.
Option settings
Set only what you need - all of the settings below are optional. In Option settings, click Add-on or SKU to charge extra for this option or give it a SKU:
- Add-on - Extra fee (Advanced plan and above) or Upsell product (Platinum and above). See Manage add-on (additional fee for option).

Connect the Font Picker with a Text input
Link the Font Picker to a Text input option so the text customers type updates live in the selected font. Create the Text input option first - see Text Input.
To link them, in Font preview in text fields, click Select text fields and choose the Text input option to connect.
Note: Text fields that are disabled in the list are already linked to another Font Picker. Each Text input can only be linked to one Font Picker at a time.
Default value and placeholder
- Placeholder text - a short hint shown in the search field before a font is chosen. Available on every plan.
- Default value - the font that is pre-selected every time the customer opens the product page. Available on the Advanced plan and above.
Help text
Add a short note explaining what to choose. Choose how it's shown: Tooltip, Below the option title, Beside the option title, or Below the option.
Show or hide with Visibility (conditional logic)
Show or hide the Font picker based on another option. Available on the Advanced plan and above. See How to set up Conditional logics?.
Option width
In the Display tab, set Option width (25%, 33%, 50%, 67%, 75% or 100%) to control how much horizontal space the Font Picker takes.
