Option Group

An Option Group is a container that holds several options under one title. Customers can click the title to expand or collapse the options inside - handy for products with many customization fields.

Plan: Option groups are available on the Advanced plan and above. On the Free plan you can still try them on one live product with a Premium option set. See Plans and feature availability.

When to use an Option Group

Structure a long option set into clear sections.
Hide optional or advanced settings until the customer needs them.
Keep required, frequently used options open and visible by default.

How to add an Option Group

Step 1: Create the group

In 1. Add options, click Add group (or Add group after from an option's menu). The group is added as Untitled Group, and its settings open in the editor panel with Content and Display tabs.

Groups can't be nested - you can't add a group inside another group.

Step 2: Configure the group

In the Content tab, set the group label

Label on product - type the name (max 250 characters). It is shown on the product page as a clickable header. You can also click the group name at the top of the panel to rename it:

In the Display tab, choose the Display type and add Visibility

Display type - under Default state when page loads, choose:

Expand - the group is open by default, and all options inside are immediately visible. Recommended for required or frequently used options.
Collapse - the group is hidden by default; customers click the title to view the options. Recommended for optional or advanced settings.

Visibility (optional) - show or hide the whole group based on another option, useful for revealing extra options only when needed. Options inside the group can still have their own, independent Visibility rules. See How to set up Conditional logics?.
