# Quickstart

This guide will help you set up OPTIS quickly and start adding custom options to your products.

## 1. Enable OPTIS Options on your theme

1. On the **Dashboard**, in the **Setup guide**, click **Add to theme** (step **Activate OPTIS Product Options**):

1. On the **Theme Customize** page, click **Save** to finish enabling the **App Embed**.

1. Back in the app, click **Add app block** (step **Add OPTIS Product Options to your products**) to add the OPTIS Product Options block to your product page, then save the theme.

If the app embed is off, the Dashboard shows **Unable to display OPTIS options on your live store**. Click **Go to theme editor**, turn it on and save. See Dashboard and setup guide.

## 2. Create an option set

We have a quick 2-minute video to help you create an option set + assign it to products:

1. Go to **Option sets** and click **Create option set**, then choose **Create from scratch** (or **Use template** to start from a ready-made option set).
2. In **1. Add options**, click **Add option**, tick the option types you need (for example **Text box**, **Dropdown menu** or **Swatch**) and click **Add options**.
3. Click an option to set its label, values and settings. The **Preview** on the right shows how it looks.
4. Give the option set a name and make sure its status is **Live**.

## 3. Apply option set to products

1. Go to **Option sets** and click the option set you want to apply to products:

1. Open **2. Select products**, choose **Specific products** under **Apply option set to**, pick the products and click **Save**:
