# Limit Min/Max Selectors in Checkbox/ Button Options/ Swatch

# Limit Min/Max Selectors in Checkbox/ Button Options/ Swatch

*This feature lets you set limits on how many different values customers can select in one option (for example, "Pick up to 3 toppings").*

Available on the **Advanced** plan and above. It works with **Checkbox**, **Button**, **Swatch**, **Switch**, **Dropdown menu** and **Dropdown with thumbnail** options. A **Radio button** always allows a single choice.

#### Steps to Manage <a href="#id-3-steps-to-manage" id="id-3-steps-to-manage"></a>

1. **Select the option** (Checkbox, Button, Swatch, Switch, Dropdown menu or Dropdown with thumbnail) in your option set.
2. **Scroll to the Quantity** section.
3. **Tick** "Limit how many different option values can be selected". On a Dropdown menu, this is also what lets customers select more than one value.
4. **Enter the Min selected option values and Max selected option values.** The limit also applies to the number of default option values you set.
5. **Click Save** to apply your settings.

If a customer selects fewer or more values than allowed, a message is shown on the product page. You can change the wording of these messages in **Settings > Translation Texts > Default text customization > Product page** (**Min selector** and **Max selector**).
