# How to Use the "Quantity" Feature for Options

### How to Use the "Quantity" Feature in OPTIS

The Quantity feature in OPTIS allows customers to select multiple option values in 1 option.

Option quantity is available on the **Platinum** plan and above. See [Plans and feature availability](/product-options/getting-started/plans-and-features).

### How It Works

* **Enabling Quantity**: In the **Option values** table, use **Columns** to show the **Quantity** column, then check the box for each value where customers can adjust the quantity.
* **Min/Max Quantity:** Set a minimum and maximum limit to control how many times the total option number can be selected.
* **How It Affects Price Add-Ons:** The final price of a product will increase based on the selected quantity multiplied by the Price Add-On value.

### Example – Selecting Candies for Candy Box
#### Setup in OPTIS:

* **Option Name:** Select candies (up to 5)
* **Option Values:** 6 candy options
* **Min quantity** is 3, and **max quantity** is 5

This means customers can select up to 5 numbers of candies. For example, 4 black candies and 1 pink candy.

If you add add-on price for those candies, for example, black candy costs $5 and pink candy costs $10. Here is the total price if customers select 4 black candy + 1 pink candy:

* Total price = $5x4 (black) + $10x1 (pink) = $30

### Step by Step Guideline

1. In the **Option values** table, click **Columns** and turn on **Quantity** if the column is not visible, then check the **Quantity** box for the value.

1. Scroll down to the **Quantity** section. To avoid confusion, you can configure how customers select quantities based on two distinct types:

* **Limit how many different option values can be selected:** This limits how many _different choices_ can be selected (e.g., "Pick from 1 to 3 candy types").

* **Limit total quantity across all options:** This limits the sum of quantities across all chosen options in total combination (e.g., "Min quantity is 3, and max quantity is 5" across the selected candy types).

1. On the section "**Add-on**", enter an extra charge per unit (if needed)

1. Click **Save** to apply the changes.
