[Choice list](/product-options/20-option-types/choice-list) # Checkbox A **Checkbox** is a small square that customers click to select or deselect a value. Customers can pick one, several, or none - it shows a checkmark when selected. ![](https://storage.crisp.chat/users/helpdesk/website/-/7/6/a/0/76a0d5f0acb4e400/0d1814c3-6ffb-4362-b3c9-ef6fce_11ilmiv.png) ## When to use a Checkbox * **Product customization** - add-ons like gift wrapping, extra toppings, or scent/flavor options. * **Compliance and agreements** - confirm age eligibility, agree to terms, or accept a return policy. ## How to add a Checkbox option ### Step 1: Add the option Open **1. In the **Option values** table, click **Columns** to show **Add-on**, **Help text**, **SKU** or **Quantity** for each value: * **Add-on** - charge extra for a value (**Extra fee**, Advanced plan and above) or link it to a Shopify variant (**Upsell product**, Platinum and above). Platinum plan and above. Available on the **Advanced** plan and above.
