Can Product Groups automatically group products from the same tag?

Yes — use Bulk create and set Group by to Product tag. Instead of building each group by hand, the app scans your catalog by tag and creates the groups for you.

There are three tag rules, depending on how you want tags to translate into groups:

Rule	What it creates	Example
One group per tag	Every tag becomes its own group, in one run	Tags `summer-2026` and `winter-2026` each become a separate group named after the tag
One group, any of the tags (OR)	A single group containing every product that has at least one of the tags you pick	Pick `sale` and `clearance` → one group with every product tagged `sale` or `clearance`
One group, all of the tags (AND)	A single group containing only products that have every tag you pick	Pick `cotton` and `organic` → one group with only products tagged `cotton` and `organic`

How to do it

Go to Product groups → Bulk create
Set Group by to Product tag, then pick a rule

Choose One group per tag, One group, any of the tags, or One group, all of the tags, and select the tag(s) it applies to.

Review the preview and uncheck anything you don't want

Groups whose name already matches an existing group are marked already exists and skipped automatically.

Click Create
